Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Phipps Conservatory Present Chrysanthemums and Classical
Event Welcomes Fall Season with Classical Music and Seasonal Blooms

Pittsburgh, PA – On Wed., Oct. 16, join Phipps Conservatory and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate the beauty of autumn with special chamber performances by musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Chrysanthemums and Classical will be an unforgettable evening of classical music set against a stunning backdrop of fall blooms from Phipps 131st Fall Flower Show – the longest running chrysanthemum show in the nation. Guests can explore the Conservatory for a sneak peek of the colorful chrysanthemums, autumnal displays and more from Phipps’ Fall Flower Show: Rhythm and Blooms.

Guests are encouraged to report directly to the Tropical Forest Conservatory of Phipps Conservatory shortly before showtime, then tour the Fall Flower Show after their scheduled performance.

Three sessions of Chrysanthemums and Classical will be offered, with performances starting at 5:15, 6:20 and 7:25 p.m.

Doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of each performance, which will begin promptly at the stated time. Please plan to arrive early as seating is not assigned and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
