New Line-up of Fun, Educational Summer Camps Available at Phipps Conservatory
Children will love learning about the natural world this summer
Pittsburgh, PA – This summer, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is excited to announce a wide range of summer camps to engage young explorers. Phipps summer camps highlight ecology, conservation and summer-related concepts through hands-on activities. Each session allows children to become immersed in the incredible world of Phipps while making discoveries that encourage their respect for the environment to grow.
Phipps’ Summer Camps Overview:
- Eat the Rainbow (June 10 – 13, ages 7 – 11): From protecting eyesight to boosting brain health, learn about the power of eating a variety of foods from a registered dietician.
- Garden to Table Cooking Camps for Teens (July 15 – 18, ages 11 – 15): Join the Let’s Move Pittsburgh team to learn about edible plants, their different parts, why we should eat them and what they need to grow.
- Conservatory Chefs (Aug. 5 – 8, ages 7 – 12): Join our chef in making seaside snacks inspired by Phipps Summer Flower Show: Under the Sea.
- Growing Green in Space (Aug. 12 – 15, ages 10 – 13): Young scientists will have the opportunity to compare the planting methods used in space with the methods used at Phipps Conservatory.
