Fall Flower Show 1979: Greatest Show Under the Big Glass Top
Nov. 4 – 25, 1979
Following an 18-month closure of the Conservatory to execute a $2 million restoration project, this year’s show presented a three-ring surface of chrysanthemums and other fall blooms, with features including tightrope-walking clowns, a seal balancing a ball of flowers, and poodles jumping through hoops.
