Fall Flower Show 1969

The 75th annual “diamond anniversary” celebration of fall at Phipps included a giant diamond built from white chrysanthemums as its centerpiece, and many previously unseen domestic and Japanese varieties of the popular flower were showcased in Pittsburgh for the first time.
