Join Phipps, Grow Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for a day of free seeds, learning and fun to get your growing season started right.

For 13 years, Phipps Conservatory, Grow Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh have hosted seed swaps to help gardeners get the seeds you need to start the season off right. Bring your untreated, non-GMO seeds to share or just pick up seeds donated by local gardeners and seed companies! Any guest bringing seeds will be eligible to enter a raffle of fun gifts from Phipps and Grow Pittsburgh.

Event Features:

  • Free seeds
    • A new batch of seeds will be released every half hour!
  • Conversations with gardening experts
  • Workshops on seed starting, seed saving, and organic gardening 
  • Creative activities for children and teens
  • Raffle eligibility for attendees who bring seeds to swap

This year's Seed Swap event will be held at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on 4400 Forbes Avenue in Oakland. This event is free to attend and registration is encouraged but not required. To register, click the button below.
