Welcome Sahar Arbab, High School Program Coordinator!
We are very pleased to welcome the newest member of the Science Education and Research team, Sahar Arbab! Sahar is the High School Program Coordinator at Phipps. In this role, she coordinates the Fairchild Challenge and the Learning for a Greener Future summer internship program. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College, where she also worked as a project assistant for Creek Connections.
Most recently, Sahar was working at Sustainable Pittsburgh through the Student Conservation Association’s Green Cities Sustainability Fellowship. She has also served with AmeriCorps KEYS at both the Hazelwood YMCA and the Braddock Youth Project. She is delighted to bring her passions for the environment, education, and sustainability into this new role at Phipps.
Outside of work, Sahar enjoys walking through Pittsburgh’s beautiful parks, spending time with friends and family, relaxing in coffee shops, and cooking with new ingredients and recipes.
