Welcome Kathleen Carr, Science Education Administrative Assistant!

We are very pleased to welcome the newest member of the Science Education and Research team, Kathleen Carr! Kathleen is the full-time Administrative Assistant for the Science Education and Research Department here at Phipps, and assists the department with everything from seasonal camps and field trip programming to maintaining Phipps' research publication database and grantwriting. She has a degree in Office Technology from Westmoreland County Community College and prior to working for the conservatory volunteered as a Sustainability Docent giving tours of the Center for Sustainable Landscapes. Kathleen has also worked with the Westmoreland Conservation District where she assisted with Growing Green Grants for Farmers and helped coordinate the 2015 Westmoreland and Allegheny County Engineers Workshop and the Westmoreland County Envirothon. Kathleen is passionate about the green world and is excited to be part of a team that is working diligently to help Pittsburgh become a healthier and more sustainable city!
