Browsing through Pinterest, we’ve all come across those photos of gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony spaces full of beautiful blooms and greenery. The setting sun in the background, illuminating the bride and groom during one of the happiest moment of their lives. Too good to be true, right? Well, do we have some good news for you! Look no further than Phipps Conservatory for the outdoor wedding of your dreams! Our Outdoor Garden offers nearly an acre of tranquility, just outside of bustling downtown Oakland.

Bordered by blossoming seasonal flowers and shaded by flourishing trees, our ceremony space features a central fountain in front of which the nuptials will take place. The Cathedral of Learning, the major landmark of Oakland, peers out over the lush garden greenery to provide a truly unique backdrop (perfect for Pitt alumni!).

Following the ceremony, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the space on the third level of the garden for cocktail hour.

But what if it rains? We’ve got you covered—quite literally! The Outdoor Garden boasts a 190 foot tent under which we’ve held ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and a combination of the three!
