Now Accepting Applications: Phipps’ 2019 Summer Interns!
Are you passionate about environmental sustainability or want to learn more? Have you been considering a green career and you’re not sure where to start or how to narrow it down? Do you want to learn how to grow, harvest and cook vegetables this summer? Look no further. Phipps Conservatory’s Learning for a Greener Future Summer 2019 Internship is the opportunity for you!
Applications for the 2019 High School Summer Internship are now being accepted! We are looking for highly motivated high school students with an interest in the well-being of the planet to serve as summer interns in our six-week, paid internship program which will run Mon.-Thurs. from June 13 – July 30. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age by Thurs., June 13, have at least one year of school left to complete, and qualify for free/reduced cost lunch.
Our internship provides hands-on experience working with our science education and horticulture staff, along with classes, service projects and field trips. Students are exposed to a wide range of “green” concepts including: vegetable gardening; healthy eating; environmental justice; local, national and global environmental issues; sustainability; photography; and green careers.
