Featured Farmer: Cherish Creamery
Husband and wife team Don and Paula Keswick were paramedics in Indiana before they packed everything up and moved to a goat farm in Reynoldsville, PA. Two and a half years later, the Keswicks have 55 rolling acres and about as many dairy goats at their farm, Cherish Creamery. “Goats are fun because they’re like big dogs,” Don says. “They all have personalities. They’ve all got names and they know their names.”
Cherish Creamery’s Garlic Basil Chevre (goat cheese) goes great with pasta, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese and crackers. They also offer many other varieties of goat cheese, including Horseradish Dill Chevre, Cranberry-Chipotle Chevre and Feta. Sample Don and Paula’s creamy goat cheeses during Farmers at Phipps this Wednesday from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m.!
