March 21 – April 18, 1971

Easter lilies, azaleas, bleeding hearts, daffodils and other seasonal wonders filled the rooms for this year’s spring show. This was the final Phipps flower show arranged by Frank Curto, who spent 23 years as chief horticulturist for the City of Pittsburgh, before his retirement in the fall of 1970. Mr. Curto passed away on Feb. 23, 1971.
