Green Like You've Never Seen: A Grand Opening Celebration of the Center for Sustainable Landscapes: May 23, 2012
6:30-10 p.m.; Designed and built by the people of Pittsburgh, the Center for Sustainable Landscapes (CSL) is an inspiring new garden and community space for you to explore. Join us to celebrate one of Earth's greenest buildings with fine food, signature cocktails and dancing under the stars. If you are unable to attend, stay tuned for details on when you can visit the CSL later this summer.

Summer Flower Show: Fountains of Youth: May 5-Sept. 30, 2012; Unearth the powers of healing plants from around the world as the soothing sights and sounds of fountains provide a release from the summer heat. Bring the family and let us welcome you to a world where nature’s treasures are revealed and the spirit of youth reigns supreme.

Butterfly Forest: April 22-Sept. 3, 2012; Like flowers that fly, our butterfly residents will enchant nature-lovers of every age. Watch as gorgeous species such as Monarchs and Zebra Longwings emerge from their chrysalises to flutter among cheerful, bug-friendly blooms.

Farmers at Phipps: Wednesdays, June-Oct. 2012
2:30-6:30 p.m.; Join us for Farmers at Phipps to shop for certified organic and Certified Naturally Grown products from local purveyors offering farm-fresh vegetables, fruit and more on our historic and sustainably managed front lawn.

April 28 at 1:30 PM: Going GREEN on the Inside: Discussion of sustainable interior products for your home; An interior designer gives an overview of some interior products that you can use to make your homes more sustainable.
May 19 at 1:30 PM: Introduction to Bonsai; Learn the basics of this ancient art from Phipps' bonsai expert.
May 20 at 1:30 PM: Native Perennials; Native plants are naturally well suited to our region, and are more likely to support wildlife. Come learn about native perennials you can use in your yard.
