Since 1893, visitors have been drawn to the natural wonder and beauty contained within the 19 indoor and outdoor gardens of Phipps Conservatory, as well as to the structure itself.

You may purchase general admission tickets when you arrive at Phipps.
Hours
Phipps is open daily from 9:30 am to 5 pm and until 10 pm on Friday. A tour of the Conservatory will take approximately 90 minutes so please plan to arrive in plenty of time to complete your visit before the closing times noted above.
Holidays
Holidays have long been a favorite time to visit Phipps. Many families hold special events at Phipps, and holiday celebrations offer a chance to relive memories. Plan ahead, as some holidays can be among our busiest visitor days. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Accessibility
A walk through the Conservatory takes about 90 minutes and most of our indoor rooms, outdoor gardens and facilities are wheelchair accessible, including restrooms, classrooms, and Botany Hall. We offer wheelchairs free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. We do not accept reservations and an ID must be left with the admissions desk.
Self-Heating Sidewalks
The front-entrance walkway to the Welcome Center has a computer controlled de-icing system that automatically warms the sidewalks using waste heat during snow and ice conditions. This means less snow-blowing and de-icing chemicals are needed to make our main entrance safe.
Guided and Group Tours
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers five different group tours: self-guided, docent-led, tropical forest, greenhouse, or a green tour.
A discount of 10% is available for groups of 15 or more. Reservations and deposits are required for all group tours. Contact us at 412-441-4442, x3803 for more details or to arrange a visit for your groups.
