You know that Phipps is a place of discovery, growth and innovation – changing the way we see the world.
In our visits to Phipps, we see children lifted to their parents’ shoulders, gazing up with wonder at the magnificent Chihuly chandelier. There are rows of happy schoolchildren with palms raised high over their heads to imitate the tropics’ canopy layer of trees. We watch guests enjoying an adventurous trip through time, from the classic beauty of our 1893 glasshouse diplays and exotic wilds of the Tropical Forest, to the futuristic “Living” Center for Sustainable Landscapes (CSL) and its new garden which fully opened this year as one of the Earth’s greenest places.

Admission and membership revenue cover just 17 percent of daily operating costs.
