Let’s Move Pittsburgh:
Leading Children to a Healthier Future
A collaborative of organizations, parents and caregivers committed to engaging communities and improving children's health in our region
Let's Move Pittsburgh — modeled after First Lady Michelle Obama's national Let's Move! campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of healthy foods, increased exercise and decreased screen time — is a collaborative effort to improve the health of children in southwestern Pennsylvania.
Engaging communities with an interest in and a capacity for making a difference, Let's Move Pittsburgh ultimately seeks to better understand childhood obesity, and then tackle it with a unified approach that anyone with a stake in this issue can follow to meet a common goal.
Take the 10,000 Tables Pledge to help make Pittsburgh a healthier place for our children to live. Once you sign the pledge to cook at least one homemade meal a week, Let's Move Pittsburgh will provide support by sending you helpful resources for making smart shopping choices, growing healthy ingredients at home, preparing wholesome family meals, and inspiring positive changes that will last a lifetime. We will also keep you informed about free community events and exciting raffles with great prizes.
