The upcoming installment of Peek Behind the Petals will feature Director of Facilities and Sustainability Management Jason Wirick, who will highlight how Phipps became one of the most energy-efficient conservatories in the world, leading the way with groundbreaking sustainability initiatives and inspiring acts of environmental stewardship. You’ll also hear about the many sustainable practices — from food composting to integrated pest management — implemented throughout the Phipps campus and explore ways that you can put some of these methods into action in your own home.

Native Plant and Sustainability Conference

Phipps’ annual Native Plant and Sustainability Conference brings together national experts for a one-day forum on plants, landscapes and our roles as environmental stewards. This year’s program pairs an entomologist with a landscape designer to help illuminate how a well-designed landscape can be a place of beauty while fulfilling several important ecological functions.
