Join Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon and Let’s Move Pittsburgh for a day of fitness, nutrition and fun.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon is teaming up with Let’s Move Pittsburgh for a day of fun at Phipps to celebrate the Giant Eagle Kids of STEEL program. Bring the young explorers in your life to discover nature and visit special stations throughout the Conservatory, where they’ll learn principles of fitness and nutrition through fun activities, including a delicious fruit tasting presented by Giant Eagle.

All activities are included in the price of Phipps admission, and enrolled Kids of STEEL participants will be admitted to Phipps for free with admission of a paying adult or adult Phipps member. Kids of STEEL participants must be accompanied by an adult during the event; one adult may bring multiple Kids of STEEL participants to the event, but an adult’s presence for the event’s duration is required for children to participate.

About Giant Eagle Kids of STEEL
Organized by Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, Giant Eagle Kids of STEEL encourages children in southwestern PA to get active and make healthy nutrition choices. More than 80 schools are participating in the 2014 program, which challenges students to log 25 miles of running either with their school or at home and to study and taste 2-3 fruits and vegetables each week. On May 3, 2014, participants will run 1.2 miles at the Toyota of Pittsburgh Kids Marathon.

About Let’s Move Pittsburgh
Let's Move Pittsburgh is a collaborative effort of organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania committed to addressing childhood obesity in our region. The program is modeled after First Lady Michelle Obama's national Let's Move! campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of healthy foods, increased exercise and decreased screen time for children.
