Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is easy to find. We're located right in the heart of Oakland on Schenley Drive in Schenley Park. Just look for the big Victorian glasshouse at the top of the hill.

PARKING

Parking is available in the center island and on the street in front of the Conservatory.

Please submit your license number to the admissions desk upon arrival. Buses will be directed to the best available parking space.

ROAD WORK

North | South | East (or Turnpike) | West | Route 28 South

If you are coming from the North:
— Take I-279 South to Pittsburgh, toward the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
— Follow signs toward Monroeville and I-376 East.
— Continue on I-376 East, take the Forbes Ave./Oakland exit
  (old exit 5, new exit 2-A).
— Follow Forbes Avenue.
— Turn Right onto Schenley Drive.
— Turn Left at the stop sign.
— Continue to follow Schenley Drive into Schenley Park.
— Phipps is on the Right.
If you are coming from the South:
— Take I-279 North toward Pittsburgh, to the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
— Follow signs to Monroeville and I-376 East.
— Continue on I-376 East, take the Forbes Ave./Oakland exit
  (old exit 5, new exit 2-A).
— Follow Forbes Avenue.
— Turn Right onto Schenley Drive.
— Turn Left at the stop sign.
— Continue to follow Schenley Drive into Schenley Park.
— Phipps is on the Right.
If you are coming from the East or the Turnpike:
— From the PA Turnpike, take the Pittsburgh exit (old exit 6, new exit 57).
— Take 376 West to the Oakland exit (exit 3-B) bearing Right to the stoplight.
— Turn Right onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
— Go through two stoplights and over the Anderson Bridge.
— At the second exit into Schenley Park, turn Right.
  (This takes you under the Anderson Bridge and over the Panther Hollow Bridge.)
— You will begin to see the east side of the Conservatory straight ahead.
— At the fork in the road, bear Left into Schenley Park.
— Phipps is on the Left.
 
If you are coming from the West:
— Take Route 60 to Routes 22/30 East to I-279 North.
— Take I-279 North toward Pittsburgh, to the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
— Follow signs to I-376 East.
— Take the Oakland exit (exit 2-A).
— Follow Forbes Avenue.
— Turn Right onto Schenley Drive.
— Turn Left at the stop sign.
— Continue to follow Schenley Drive into Schenley Park.
— Phipps is on the Right.
If you are coming from Route 28 South:
— Turn Left onto Highland Park Bridge.
— At the end of the bridge, take Route 8 south exit.
— Look for signs for Washington Boulevard.
— After exit, at the light, turn Right onto Washington Boulevard.
— Follow for about 1.5 miles; the road will turn into Fifth Avenue.
— Go approximately one more mile into Oakland.
— At Bigelow Boulevard turn Left, continue straight through a set of lights
onto Schenley Drive.
— At the stop sign, turn Left and follow Schenley Drive across the bridge.
— Phipps will be on your Right.
