Bridal Work

Dates: Mon., Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30; Feb. 6, 20, 27; Mar. 5

Objective: To begin to be able to put together and service a wedding.

An introduction to the style potential of wedding bouquets, flower preparation, basing materials, mechanical techniques and styles will be included. Packing and transporting bridal work and setting up and servicing the wedding will also be covered.

Contemporary European Design

Contemporary European design stresses the growth habit and individuality of single flowers in an arrangement. Learn techniques for creating floral designs incorporating the European styles of parallelism, landscape vegetative, multi-plane and hand-tied.

Centerpieces are a joy to look at as well as to construct. Join Korkey and learn design details and techniques from current to classic. This class will feature diverse styles to enhance your entertaining idea catalog. Themes that may be explored include: exotics, candles, unique containers and variety of foliage and flowers.

Vase Arrangements

This is the basic class you have been waiting for!  Learn the tricks used by florists to arrange flowers in a vase.  You will learn three distinctively different techniques and will utilize varying mechanics.

Basic Floral Design: Introduction to Western Geometric Arranging

Objective: To construct symmetrical and combination arrangements, incorporating widely accepted principles of design.

This course provides a solid foundation, focusing upon the Western Geometric style, upon which all of the more exotic forms of flower arranging are based. Students in this hands-on course will learn the principles of design, flower conditioning and mechanical techniques.

The material fee is per session, and can be paid upon registration or at each class. Please bring a floral knife, wire cutters and scissors to class with you. Knives will be available for puchase at the first class, if you do not own one.
