Classes & Programs
Phipps Conservatory offers classes, conferences and other educational events - for adults and children, and green-thumb gardeners - as varied as our public gardens.
Adult Programs
Adult classes range from botanical art & illustration and floral design, to hands-on sustainable gardening workshops. Phipps offers a growing roster of certificate programs, conferences and other outreach around sustainable landscapes and living.
Children's Programs
Children delight in the natural world that surrounds them, especially when they’re given basic tools for discovery and appreciation. Inspire your young botanist or bug collector. Our classes mix plant, animal and ecosystem topics: from identifying fall leaves to papermaking and tasty treats from the Tropical Forest.
School & Teacher Programs
Phipps' school programs help teachers align lesson plans with state guidelines in Environment & Ecology and Science & Technology, reach across the curriculum, and blend social and multi-cultural studies, botany and ecology to inspire learning.
Middle & High School Programs
Are you passionate about helping young people today become environmental stewards and appreciate more fully the beauty and value of nature? Phipps' middle and high school programs offer unique ways to not only inspire young botanists and environmentalists but to promote environmental awareness in students with different interests and abilities.
Public Programs
Join us every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm* in the Tropical Forest for demonstrations on a wide variety of topics, free with admission! From Bee keeping to Bonsai, Conifer Care to Compost, local experts bring it all to you. Check the events calendar for this week's programs!
